This Hillel serves the University of Birmingham, the University of Central England and the University of Aston. Approximately 30 places are allocated to first year students with the remainder available for 2nd and 3rd year students, subject to ballot.

Catering: Birmingham Hillel is self-catering

Rent costs include accommodation, heat, light, power, washing machine but not food.

Location

The House is situated in the pleasant, leafy suburb of Edgbaston. The Birmingham campus is a mere 10-minute walk away whilst Aston and UCE can be reached by bus in approximately half an hour. The Selly Oak and Harborne shopping centres are each about a 20-minute walk away and the Birmingham Central Synagogue, a walk of about a half-hour.

Other Notes

Birmingham Hillel plays a major role as a centre for all Jewish students and regular Friday night meals and J.Soc meetings are held there. The House is very popular and heavily over subscribed.
